Zack Whimbush
Head Coach
Coach Zack Whimbush is the head track and field coach at Denver South High School. He started and ran the USATF/AAU member Grizzly Track Club, which produced some the top sprinters, hurdlers, high jumpers, and heptathletes in the state from 2009-2018.

Meet Coach Lex!! Coach Lex has been teaching in DPS for two years and will be teaching Math I and Math II at South this year! Coach Lex ran at the University of Michigan where he was an All-American and Big Ten Champ, and then post collegiately becoming the 447th American to run a sub-4 minute mile! However, he’s most proud of being part of 3x State Championship XC team at Dexter HS in Michigan! Before moving to CO, Coach Lex was the head coach at Dexter, and before that a GA Coach at Illinois State University.
